Stellar time
This collection is based on the 12 pointed star. We measure time with the 12 hour cycle and 12 months a year and this collection of patterns is a tribute to the divine cycles of time.
It represents time as hours, days, months and years revolve directly from the movements of the celestial bodies in the universe. The use of the number 12 to count the time arose directly from the geometry of a circle and the relation of the sun, moon and earth.
In number theory, 12 is a sublime number. This means that it is a positive number that has six positive factors (1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12) and that the sum of these is again a positive number (28). Besides it’s mathematical sublime characteristic, the number 12 has many more symbols and meanings that have spanned across time and numerous civilizations and religions.
